Arcadia Newfoundlands Breeder
Description
We are a very small Newfoundland farm located in the beautiful Eastern Townships region about 1 hour from Montreal. Our property is located on a 6 acre wooded lot including a private lake that makes our dogs happy. All our dogs have a gentle temperament and live inside our house surrounded by our 4 extraordinary children. Newfoundland being above all a family dog, the breeding called "family" is of great importance to me.
Newfoundland is as beautiful as it is talented; its abilities make it a dog that loves to work. Through training, he will be able to develop an extraordinary complicity with his master. This is why our dogs can be seen in all the disciplines that define Newfoundland: obedience, conformation, cart shooting and water work.
Particularities
Our mating program is based above all on the desire to produce healthy puppies with an excellent temperament. We are completing their championship to ensure that they represent the Newfoundland standard. All our breeders are certified by the OFA for hips, elbows, knees, heart (by a cardiologist), eyes, tyroid and cystinuria. Each litter is carefully planned and the pedigrees are carefully studied. All puppies are certified by a cardiologist before leaving at about 10 weeks of age.
We are members of the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada and the Canadian Kennel Club. We are also active members of the Mountain City Obedience Club.
